👋🏻 Hi there... apologies, it’s been a while!! COVID life had me focusing on family and getting my own house into shape. Spending so much time inside during this uncertain time really gave me a great appreciation for the importance of creating spaces that bring calm and solace. Joy from the small things, the ambient light from the lamp. The flickering of a candle. The soft rug under foot. The fluffy feather cushion to sink into on the sofa. Greenery to appreciate. Lovely art to gaze. All these things added moments of calm throughout my days. What things helped you get though? I hope during this time you got to enjoy some moments of peace too? 🖤
Rugs are a wonderful way to bring a room together. They help to ground the furniture and can be a great base palette to pull colour from for cushions and other soft furnishing! This beauty is my Grandmas, I love it so much 🤎

Popped into @citta this morning and was so inspired by the beautiful new range! The warmth of these colours for the upcoming season are so gorgeous. I definitely think there will be a couple of these cushions coming home with me for our new sofa arriving in a couple of weeks👏🏻Styled to perfection as always too! Citta is always a firm fave of mine to specify for clients spaces🤎
Details of a @harrowsnz chair I am currently specifying to compliment a clients beautiful handmade wooden table. The chairs will be stained in “eclipse” to match the tables black legs 🖤. The removable leather seat pad is not only visually pleasing but so functional too. Whip it off and wipe it down... perfect for messy children and a busy family👏🏻🙌🏻
I love the use of colour in this minimalist kitchen. Green is such a great colour to start with if you are trying to add to a monochromatic palette. It’s less likely to date as quickly as other colours because it echos one of nature’s greatest tones and we all know...nature never gets it wrong. 🍃 (📷 @pinterest I have searched to try and find the clever soul behind this work but no luck so please let me know if you know!?)
Window dressings can add so much more to a room than just function. When the right fabric is chosen they really can enhance and compliment your space. This botanical print by @hemptechnz offers a sense of calm and is a nice way to bring the outside in! 🌱🍃
A busy feature tile on the floor can be a great way to bring visual interest to a space without being to much on the eye. (📷 ft my feet @terrace_kitchen )
